Our Osteopaths

Tim Baker

Tim first came to Dundee to study physiology at the University of Dundee. After gaining an Honours degree he stayed on to complete a Masters degree in medical biophysics where he was involved in some cancer research.

He studied for his osteopathic qualification at the College of Osteopaths in London before setting up the West End Osteopathic Clinic in 1985. In 1993 the Osteopaths Bill received Royal assent and the machinery to set up a state register of osteopaths was set in motion. The register opened on 9th May 1998 and Tim was one of the first osteopaths in Scotland to be ‘state registered’.

Tim has also completed his naturopathic qualifications and is a Registered Naturopathic Physician practicing naturopathic and nutritional medicine in addition to osteopathy.

Oliver Baker

Oliver is Tim’s eldest child and was born and raised in Dundee. He qualified with a Master of Osteopathy degree from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM), in London. Oliver offers holistic osteopathic treatment, with a focus on attaining the correct information early, to ensure each patient is provided with the appropriate treatment plan for his/her needs. This approach invariably delivers a timely recovery.

Oliver has also acquired years of experience in the specialist paediatric and nutrition clinics at BCOM. As such, he can provide dietary and lifestyle advice, treatment for babies, pregnant mothers, and massage. He has always been a keen sportsman and therefore specialises in sports injury rehabilitation, with experience working with top athletes and rugby teams, and providing treatment for runners in the London Marathon.
